Stopping duloxetine suddenly can cause very uncomfortable symptoms. Physicians call this “discontinuation syndrome.” Here are some of the more common complications:
- Electric shock-like sensations (often referred to as “brain zaps”), nerve tingling
- Light-headedness
- Dizziness and/or vertigo
- Headaches
- Irritability, anxiety
- Hostility
- Digestive distress (nausea, diarrhea)
